Forest Bathing

First of all, we don’t need a swimming costume! It’s not a nature walk or a trek.

Forest bathing is a science and research based experience that enables connection, healing, a chance to breathe and give thanks to nature.

Also known as Shinrin-Yoku, Forest Bathing was first developed in Japan, in the early 1980’s as a means to aid the population ease stress of fast-pace living.

It is a self-care strategy that not only feels good it is in fact good for you.

Regular forest bathing allows the senses to open up; sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch in the surroundings.

So why we do it?

Here are some of the many benefits;

Boosts the immune system,

Soothes the nervous system,

Regulates blood pressure,

Improves mood and creativity,

A deeper sense of mental relaxation.
